UNRIVALED Productions has signed director Bo Barrett to its roster. The Los Angeles–based writer/director brings character-driven, deeply human storytelling to UNRIVALED’s growing lineup of photographers and directors, available to agencies and brands through UNRIVALED’s full-service production. Bo knows commercials from both sides of the camera. Before directing, he acted in more than 300 spots and worked alongside some of the best directors in the business, including Sofia Coppola, Lance Acord, Tom Kuntz, Fredrik Bond and Ian Pons Jewell. He spent years watching how the great ones work. Now he’s one of them.
That background is his edge. Bo casts with a sharp eye and gets honest, pitch-perfect performances out of everyone in frame. He calls himself an emotion-first director, and his work proves it: funny when it should be, moving when it counts, and always true. He’s made films for brands including Expedia, 7-Eleven, Eggo, Rocket Mortgage, Everytown, NFL Shop, Uncommon Goods, Shorebirds, Creighton University and JustFoodForDogs.

Bo is a Los Angeles native who grew up in Echo Park, the son of a production designer, and has been immersed in filmmaking since childhood. He joins UNRIVALED effective immediately.
