Every fan base has a color, but few wear it like Birdland. For Orange Crush, Unrivaled brought that identity into the studio, working with New York photographer Jonathan Hanson to create a series of portraits celebrating Baltimore Orioles fans against a saturated orange seamless backdrop (see the full project). The project takes its name from the Orange Crush cocktail, Maryland’s official state drink and a Camden Yards game-day staple and channels that same unmistakable energy into a set of clean, editorial portraits built around gear, color, and character rather than the ballpark itself.
Produced as part of Unrivaled’s ongoing work with the Baltimore Orioles, the Orange Crush series sits at the intersection of sports, portrait, and commercial photography, proof that fan culture can carry a campaign as much as any highlight reel. Hanson’s studio approach strips away the noise of a stadium shoot and puts the focus squarely on the people who show up in orange, week after week, season after season. It’s the kind of project Unrivaled builds often: editorial-grade portraiture with a commercial backbone, produced out of New York for brands and teams who want their fans to look as sharp as their roster.
