Sofia Jaramillo Shoots Footwear For Keen

Two people sit by a tent in the woods, putting on colorful shoes. On the right, a close-up shows one person lying on the ground with legs raised, showing off the shoes against a blurred forest background at dusk. Two people sit outdoors at dusk, one woman in a yellow hoodie playfully feeds a man lying back in casual clothes; in the second frame, she eats with a spoon, surrounded by camping gear and grass.

Photographer Sofia Jaramillo photographed a collaboration between KEEN footwear and Protect Our Winters (POW) called Nature Intervenes, a footwear campaign highlighting authentic, candid moments outdoors where people and landscapes intersect in cold weather conditions. The campaign was photographed by outdoor lifestyle photographer Sofía Jaramillo, whose style-driven footwear photography and extensive experience in the mountains and trails bring a bold, creative edge to outdoor industry marketing. Her imagery combines alliance member portraits, natural textures, and sweeping vistas, all treated in a monochromatic, earth-toned palette that elevates brand photography into something cinematic and authentic. At the center is the Whyser x POW shoe, a sustainable footwear design by artist Max Romey crafted with recycled materials, ethically sourced leather, and PFAS-free water repellency. For every pair sold, KEEN donates 1% of proceeds to Protect Our Winters, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to sustainability, climate action, and outdoor industry innovation.
