TECOVAS
Travis Gillett, a photographer and director known for his documentary-style visual storytelling, created the campaign imagery for Tecovas’ performance wear collection. Photographed in California’s high desert, the series pairs the stark beauty of arid terrain with garments engineered for demanding outdoor work. The shoot relied entirely on natural light to reinforce the collection’s core promise: Western-rooted workwear built for heat, movement, and long days. Breathable fabrics and durable construction are shown in context rather than in isolation, worn across sun-baked ridgelines and dusty trails where functionality actually matters.Gillett’s approach favors authenticity over polish, placing real people in real landscapes and letting texture, light, and environment do the storytelling. The result is a campaign that feels less like a lookbook and more like a dispatch from the field.

FILSON SPRING CATALOG
For Filson’s Spring catalog and seasonal campaign, photographer Travis Gillett was brought in to visually interpret a brand built on longevity, function, and purpose. Rather than staging the collection in controlled environments, the shoot unfolded across the mist-laden mountains and dense forests of the Pacific Northwest, placing the clothing where it’s meant to be worn. Gillett’s photography prioritizes atmosphere and materiality. Raw denim, waxed canvas, and weathered outerwear are treated not as styling elements, but as tools shaped by use. Natural light guides the frame, allowing texture, weight, and wear to emerge organically. The result is imagery that moves beyond product presentation—capturing a way of living outdoors that feels honest, restrained, and deeply connected to place.

KING RANCH SADDLE SHOP
Shot on location at the historic King Ranch in South Texas, this catalog and campaign by photographer Travis Gillett captures the rugged elegance, heritage, and craftsmanship that define King Ranch Saddle Shop. Rooted in place, the work reflects the authenticity of a brand shaped by land, labor, and tradition. Known for his naturalistic approach to Western lifestyle and outdoor photography, Gillett photographed the latest hunting and ranchwear collection in its true environment, working with real ranchers on their own terrain. Using natural light and cinematic composition, the imagery leans into texture, movement, and lived-in moments—bringing a sense of realism and grit to each frame. The result is a body of work that honors timeless Western tradition while showcasing modern durability and design.

TECOVAS MENS’ WORK BOOT
For the launch of Tecovas’ composite square-toe work boot, Seattle-based photographer Travis Gillett traveled to Texas to document the footwear in the environments it was built for. The campaign centers on long days, physical labor, and the quiet pride of working outdoors—whether on job sites, in the heat, or far from the spotlight. Gillett’s photography is rooted in observation rather than performance. Known for working within outdoor communities and overlooked subcultures, he brings an instinct for finding moments of honesty in demanding settings. His imagery favors natural light, lived-in detail, and unpolished realities, allowing the product to exist as part of a larger story about work, resilience, and craft. The result is a campaign that feels grounded, human, and true to the people Tecovas designs for.

TECOVAS – MADE FOR HER
To introduce Tecovas’ first women’s work boot, photographer and director Travis Gillett collaborated with the brand on a campaign grounded in lived experience and Texas-rooted craft. Shot on location in Austin, the project centers on women whose work is hands-on and demanding—contractors, mechanics, and makers whose daily routines shape both the story and the setting. Gillett approached the series with a documentary mindset, allowing natural light and real environments to guide each frame. The photography balances product detail with portraiture, highlighting the durability and craftsmanship of the boots while keeping focus on the women who wear them. The result is a body of work that feels confident and unvarnished, blending Western influence with contemporary workwear through honest, character-driven storytelling.
