About Sofia:

Sofía Jaramillo

Sofía Jaramillo is a Colombian-American photographer and filmmaker whose work centers around bridging the worlds of art, representation, and mountain culture. Born in Sun Valley, Idaho Jaramillo spent her formative years in Idaho where she developed both her love for winter landscapes and her awareness to how underrepresented communities show up (or don’t) in outdoor spaces. Through her art, she also volunteers and advocates for greater access to the outdoors, particularly for Latinx youth. She’s worked with organizations like the Coombs Foundation to help young people navigate and enjoy mountain sports and culture.
