Jonathan Hanson Captures Portraits of Restaurateur and Artist Lane Harlan

Portrait photographer Jonathan Hanson, photographed  Baltimore restaurateur and the creative force behind Clavel, W.C. Harlan, Fadensonnen, and The Coral Wig. She has spent over a decade quietly reshaping how her city eats, drinks, and gathers, building spaces that feel less like businesses and more like points of view. Each establishment celebrates craft, honors place, and elevates small producers, weaving intentionality and connection into every detail. That’s the kind of subject photographer Jonathan Hanson knows what to do with.

Shot on location in Baltimore, this portrait series finds Harlan with the same presence she brings to everything else she touches. Hanson’s approach is cinematic and unhurried.
