Los Angeles based comedy director, Nathan Colby, turned his signature off-kilter creativity into a standout commercial campaign for Habit Supplements, blending surreal visual storytelling with grounded brand messaging in 2024. At the core of the project is Habbie, a seven-foot-tall anthropomorphized vitamin bottle that brings a whimsical yet memorable visual identity to the Habit brand. Designed and fabricated specifically for the campaign, Habbie acts as more than just a mascot — he bridges the tangible world of supplements with a quirky, larger-than-life presence that captures attention and makes the idea of forming healthy habits feel fun and unforgettable. Throughout multiple spots including Hair, Skin, and Nails, Libido, and Multivitamins, Colby’s direction harnesses humor and character-driven visuals to elevate product storytelling, emphasizing both personality and performance in every frame. The production involved two full days of shooting with more than 25 crew members, including longtime collaborators like DP Jiwon Baeq and producer Erica Goodwin, and featured meticulous prep from animatics to final execution. With Habit Supplements, Colby demonstrates how bold concepting and thoughtful design can create a campaign that resonates with audiences while showcasing the director’s unique voice in commercial storytelling.
